First GigaPan panorama

For our first GigaPan effort, we shot a small panorama of part of our living room. Once we figures out what to do (you know how technical manuals are!), the camera robot worked quite smoothly. We had some issues with our first shoot. We had to adjust 2 things: the time taken by the robot between individual shots, and the tension on the robot arm that depresses the camera shutter. Once we got that right, the second shoot went well.

The stitching software takes a while due to large file sizes, but it work very well and produced a very nice little panorama. The upload of the completed pan to the GigaPan web site is very slow, but it worked well.

Above is the link to the URL for our first GigaPan effort. Check it out and see what you think. We will discuss the little pan in class, and then demo the system so you can see how this all works.
